Join the Nokia Mobile film lab and make films with your cell phone
The Amsterdam Shorts! International film festival has joined forces with Nokia Trendslab to bring you an online competition especially for films made with mobile telephones. The competition is open to all and will give a new generation of directors the opportunity to present short films to an audience using a new and original platform.


Call for Entries
Create an original film with your mobile phone that is no longer than 60 seconds. The minimum resolution should be at least 640x480 pixels. Costume drama, police thriller or a Bollywood musical.The sky is the limit. Contestants can upload their masterpieces on the Nokia Trendslab website. Five lucky finalists will be selected by a jury and have a chance to win a new Nokia N95 8GB with an integrated 5 megapixel camera.
The finalists’ films will be viewed on MyVu glasses, which have built-in high resolution screens, creating a virtual reality experience. The winner will be announced at an exclusive party at MTV’s studio on the 29th of may. The audience will pick a winner, who will receive the Nokia N95 8GB. The event will feature performances from C-Mon and Kypsi, Kraak and Smaak and The Glimmers.
